Writing Articles For Fun and Profit

GT Bulmer © Affiliate Power Central
Most Internet Marketers know full well that the purpose and value of writing articles is to help build their brand and promote their products, services or business in general. The most effective articles are those centered on the theme of the website or marketing niche.
Article Marketing can take on a variety of forms, from posting to one’s own website, to blogging, to submitting articles to any or all of the numerous article directories available online. The marketer can choose to write their own articles, hire a writer, or purchase PLR (private label rights) articles to post as their own.
Article topics can cover anything from product reviews and recommendations, to effective marketing resources, techniques, best practices, marketing challenges and triumphs, and just about anything that a marketer wants to write about that can be related to the theme of their website or their niche marketing focus.
Some marketers focus on quality; some on quantity. In other words, the marketer who focuses on quality will write their article with the interests of the targeted reader in mind. The article will be informative, factual and truly helpful in some way. It will contain tips and references designed to educate the reader or encourage and inspire them in some way.
In contrast, the marketer who focuses on quantity isn’t quite so concerned with the value of the information contained in the article. Their object is simply to post as much content as quickly as possible simply for the purpose of exposure and backlinks.
Either focus can be effective, depending on the purpose and goals of the individual marketer.
The marketer going for quantity is looking for quick hits and is playing a numbers game: the more prospects that see the material, the higher the percentage of sales or conversions. But it might take a lot more “hits” to produce a conversion this way.
The Internet Marketer going for quality is more interested in building their brand and developing a positive reputation as a preferred supplier in their particular niche.
Whether a marketer goes for quality or quantity, one key factor to keep in mind when writing articles is to keep them focused as closely as possible on the theme of the website or on the desired marketing niche. The whole purpose of Article Marketing is to build your brand and attract targeted prospects. If a website is all about one thing, but the article is about something only loosely related, the prospects that the article attracts may not stay on the website for more than a few moments.
Be as focused on your article topics as you are on your market niche. If you are, then you will certainly find that writing articles for fun and profit is well, both fun and profitable!

Aug 14th 2010 at 6:02 PM by ChuckBartok Great Article GT. I absolutely agree that anytime you share Valuable Information with people, who are interested, your position in the market place is Enhanced.
I encourage clients to also enjoy Podcasting the same way. A fun opportunity to increase Traffic, Brand yourself to thousands quickly.
Over at the New Social Search Engine site, Kooiii.com I have formed a Podcasting Group and generating interest to conduct a HOW TO Webinar.
Maybe one here would be appropriate?? I Found Podcasting easier than writing, because of a health issue, and I believe it DRAWS a more Targeted Audiences.

Aug 14th 2010 at 5:46 PM by TerriLPattioMLMmento What a great article. It's all about providing value to your reader and that way they will always come back for more information because what you wrote makes sense and they want to learn more. People should realize that it's not about selling, it's about relationships and being genuine because people will pick up on it, if it's not real or doesn't feel right.
After all, isn't it better to get to know people, and understand them and what's important to them. It's called building that relationship.
I can help YOU, and I will.
