· Hi, GT Bulmer! I am so sorry if you have misunderstood me. As a matter of fact, after I got your post on my group, I checked out my settings to see what the problem was and was so shocked to see the fact that there were nearly 25 people blocked by me (when it is not true). I will report the problem to IMFP and get back to you. For now I have unblocked all of those people, AS I HAVE NOT INTENDED TO BLOCK. And of course, I have always read and enjoyed your faceplate, why block you? LOL

· Hi, Philippe: Thanks for stopping by. •☀• My trick is simple: When I see interesting symbols somewhere, I copy and paste them into a Word document I keep for that purpose ☂☂☂ and then when I want to use them somewhere (like here) I copy and paste them.

· Oops! Appears to be a bug or a glitch with the Discussion Groups here at IM faceplate. It looks like ALL but the most recent discussion comments have been "Flagged For Review". (Either it is a glitch... or some unhappy member simply doesn't like ANYthing anybody has said! LOL)

· Whew! What a marathon! On Friday, we said, "Hey, let's paint the garage Saturday!" ... So we did! We sanded and scraped three exterior walls and painted them, too! Started at 10 a.m. Had to break to go buy supplies. Had to break later in the day to go buy MORE paint! But we got 'er done! :D GT

· Hey, Timothy: Yes, I've used ALT tags in all of my banners, photos, images, etc. ever since I first started learning HTML from Suzanne about three years ago. I think it is an important thing to do for the reason's I mentioned in the WF, but particularly for SEO reasons.
Early on, I would use my primary keywords in the banners, but since then I have tried to use keywords that relate both to the page and to the image or banner being used. There was a brief period about a year ago when I wasn't adding ALT tags to new images on my Affiliate Power Central site (a new Wordpress site at the time): the problem was, when I moused over the image, the ALT text did not show up so I thought it wasn't working. Since then I smartened up and make sure to always include the ALT tags. You are most welcome to join us in the APG (Affiliate Power Group). I have learned a great deal from the APG mentors (Suzanne included), and I am regularly inspired by fellow members who are traveling the same Internet Marketing learning path that I am. GT :-) |

· hey there GT. about the warrior forum article concerning "ALT" tags, Now I have been doing the not only for pictures but also with every banner. I have not heard or seen anybody mention this. For EG: "Perpetual 20 banner with Best Internet Business logo on top corner" and my keyword being "Best Internet Business" have you ever tried this or heard anybody mention this? i think it is a very good idea as there can be so many banners on a site. I might Ask Suzanne m. as well.

· Hi, Ann: I see you are following only one IM faceplate member, and are being followed by just five members. Here is what I recommend to help you start building your brand her at IM faceplate:
1) Spend time at IM faceplate every day. 2) Each day, follow a few new people (maybe five to 10 new people each day). 3) For each new person you follow: a) Post a friendly comment on their face; b) Check to see if they have any Spotlights. If they do, post a comment and 'like' one of their Spotlights; c) Check to see if they have any articles posted. If they do, read at least one, like it and leave a short comment about it. 4) Each day, look to see who your new followers are, then post a "Thank you" note on their face. 5) Each day, look through the Discussion topics and participate in at least a few discussions. Post comments. 6) Each week, add new articles and Spotlights to your faceplate, if you can. Very briefly, that is the way to start building your presence, your reputation and your brand in the IM faceplate community. GT :-) |

· Hello, friends: I'm working diligently on that last client project . . . but so many distractions! Today, got the car stuck in the mud hole at the end of our driveway (caused by a contractor who dug it up to lay telecommunication lines, but did not properly pack and gravel it). Now that it has been pouring rain the past few days, it's turned into a mud hole! The tow truck came right away (thank goodness for AMA!), but now I'm trying to convince the telecommunications company that THEY caused the problem so THEY should fix the mud hole so we can get in and out of our property. Ain't life fun? (Hey! I know I shouldn't complain, considering the disasters that other people have experienced ... but I just had to vent. Thanks for listening.) ;-) GT

· Oh! Almost forgot to mention this! On Thursday, I had a SERIOUS computer problem (virus related) and finally had to call Microsoft Customer Support for help. The voice menu system was awful - cut me off and I had to phone back. But when I got through to the live help, the technician was awesome!
I waited only a few minutes before he picked up my call. Very carefully and expertly, he guided me through the key strokes on my computer to investigate the problem, identify the solution and carry it out. I believe he was in a support center located in India. He spoke very clearly, seemed genuinely concerned about my problem, kept me informed and feeling comfortable and confident all the way through, and successfully fixed my problem. I was VERY impressed with his manner and his expertise (despite not having heard good things about Microsoft in the past). This fellow improved my opinion about Microsoft in general. He was working out of the location, Microsoft PCSafety Technical Support, and his name is Pankaj Vaish: THANK YOU, Pankaj, for treating me with patience and respect and for solving my problem! · Hey, hey, faceplate fans! Happy Saturday! I'm trying to wrap up a few loose ends (posting some articles in directories) before I have to (once again) join my dear wife in our continuing home renovation project. (Rather be writing, lol.)
Oh, well. We have two bedrooms and the upstairs hallway painted and new carpet in. Today, have to put the baseboards back on, then assemble a new cabinet for dear wife's new office room and move her desk and stuff into the room. I'll check back in to IMfp later! GT :-) |

I saved the banner pics to my pc and then I added the link where it ask if I want a link with the pics but it isn't working. Yesterday, we painted the upstairs hallway. Today, we're painting the trim in same hallway and in one of the rooms we are re-doing, and we will begin preparations in another room, to be painted this week. 1) My opinion is that the simpler the product and the lower the price, the shorter the copy should be. More involved products with a higher price should have longer copy. My reasoning is that the more "valuable" the product, the more benefits and features you will want to highlight about it. The other thing is, the more serious you are about wanting to sell a product, the more copy you might want to use to keep the prospect reading until you convince them to buy. However, the copy should be engaging, relative, truthful and appealing. If the copy isn't completely meaningful all of the way through, chances are you will lose the prospect's attention very quickly. 2) The "Headlines" eBook (and the accompanying sales page) are a pre-written/pre-designed PLR (private label rights) package I picked up simply as an item to sell on my website. Note: This is just my opinion again, but if you like the copy on that sales page, you could pattern and design your sales page in a similar way. You can't duplicate the copy word-for-word, of course, but you could write similar copy to describe your product and choose similar graphics, page elements and page structure. (Just a thought.) · Hello, Ruskim: You can use the Custom Lists feature here at IM faceplate for anything you want. I created one Custom List with my two primary website links, and another list with my Twitter profile links in it.
You could do the same, or for example, you could create a list of your products with links to the sales page of each product. GT :-) |

· Ah, ha ... and I can see that the OnlyWire bookmark service IS working! I have Twitter set up as one of the automated bookmarks in OnlyWire and I see that a number of the posts and pages that I bookmarked in January have finally been posted through the system! It's a relief to know that it is working. GT :-)

· Just a follow-up to yesterdays alert about my trouble with the OnlyWire bookmarking service:
After asking some direct (and respectful) questions in a Help Ticket to OnlyWire, I received an excellent, very helpful response from them. Following their clear directions, I properly installed the service and it now appears to be running correctly. I suggested to them that they look at building something into the system that would recognize the issue I experienced so other users would not go for as long as I did without knowing the service was not actually working. They said they would pass the recommendation on to the tech team. That's all I ask. GT :-) |

· I just had a rude awakening. Apparently, my OnlyWire Bookmark and Share software has NOT been working since they made some “improvements” last year. However, I kept getting the “successful” message every time I used it.
I am quite surprised (and frustrated) that the system did not recognize the problem and alert me. If you use OnlyWire, I recommend you check it out to see if it is actually working for you. GT :-| |

· You know what they say: It never rains, but it pours! As if I didn't have enough challenges yesterday, now I can't log in to my WordPress admin! I think something went goofy after I clicked the "add-to-any" social plug-in update. I haven't had trouble with those updates before.
Anybody else experiencing something similar with WordPress? GT :-) |
