Leadership and Mentoring For the 21st Century

Are You a Peoples Processor or are You a Peoples Developer? What is a Peoples Processor? This question will evoke many a debate in the corridors of power, boardrooms, and management meetings and in general discussion where business and companies are concerned. Heated discussion will take place both in favor of or against this question and statement.

Small, Medium and Large Business Enterprises will argue that ultimately profit is the bottom line and I agree that this is important but the question remains, at what cost and expense? I can tell you that it has been at the expense of so many people that have been Retrenched,Fired,lost their jobs because of Poor,Outdated and Peoples Processing Management Strategies and Principles that belong in the 70's,80's,90's and are still being practiced today.

This is the route cause and the question remains of whether a CEO, Senior Manager, Company Owners and Share holders are in fact the cause of these problems. You just have to look at the current world economic turmoil. Companies that have been mismanaged, millions of dollars that has been misappropriated and the fat cats have become very rich and it becomes evident that the Strategy of Peoples Development was not practiced nor adhered to for many years.

These people processing strategies have led to many an employee being totally crushed, demotivated, humiliated and left with a feeling of total an utter worthlessness that has in many cases led to tragic circumstances. Do you realise that what they actually needed was a program of Peoples Development and Personal Mentoring to Guide,Help,Educate and with Effective Leadership and People Skills to raise them to the next level. But the top brass were and are still afraid of their own inadequacies, competencies, their corporate titles and perks and thus become so selfish that all they looked after was and still is their own pockets to the extent that the work force has constantly been suppressed and how tragic this has turned out to be world wide.

What is a Peoples Developer?

It is a Person that develops other People and Guides, Mentors and Leads them to Higher Achievement, Self Respect and Self Worth. This is the qualities of a Leader and not that of a Manager! A Manager manages systems. Leadership is the fine art of Leading, Managing and Motivating People and uplifting them to the next level.

I am of the opinion that for the economy and business to survive in the 21st Century, a different management style and the strategic implementation of Peoples Development, Positive Affirmation, Effective Leadership, Personal Mentoring approach needs to be followed to achieve the success that we desire. Many learned and esteemed heads of business have publicly stated that the future of business and the development of entrepreneurs will come form the Home Based Businesses, Direct Selling, Network Marketing Business operations that in turn will place the management and responsibility of these business in the hands of the owners and entrepreneurs and not in the hands of scrupulous company directors and shareholders. The success of these new business trends will entirely depend on the strategy of Peoples Development and Effective Leadership Management and Personal Mentoring.

Here again, many a Company Owner, Director, CEO and share holders will differ vehemently from my statement because they still believe in "kick ass" management style, hire and fire at will, driving costs down and ultimately driving their employees to insanity in the corporate jungle that spells one word "Corporate Burnout, Maxed out credit cards, Families falling apart and sadly Suicide". The reason for this is that because of all their troubles and financial woes, they have lost faith in themselves and their ability and can't see a future any more. This is absolutely tragic.

Money management is virtually non existent in the world today and the public now more that ever needs to be financially educated to provide for their families and their retirement. Do not despair, there is hope and my wish is that the people reading this article will tap into their reserve, follow the strategies outlined here diligently and ultimately you will succeed. You need to empower yourself and when you consider the entrepreneur / home business and direct selling options; the possibilities are limitless for those who pursue their dreams. Direct Sales is the Power to Help More People. We have come to learn that direct sales are a revolutionary new way of sharing the wealth with anyone who truly wants to acquire great wealth. A direct sales system is set up to make it possible for anyone to share in the wealth.

It has been stated that over the next 10 years, the U.S economy will create 10 million new millionaires. You have the opportunity to start now and become one of them. There are currently 1.5 billion people on the internet spending in excess of 1 trillion dollars on line. Choose a Business Platform and Suitable but Reputable Product Line that can leverage the 1.5 Billion people on the Internet for you. This will help you create your wealth and success.

Governments and Big Business can't provide nor sustain a growing work force any longer. It is going to depend on each and every individual to develop a new thought process of strategies, management theories, leadership,opportunities, network possibilities with the world and to start thinking out of the box, so to speak, to survive in the next millennium. We owe it to the generations after us to find new solutions to our problems and let mankind develop the skills,know how and motivation to succeed in an ever changing business future that lies ahead.

Here with some guidelines for you to follow when starting up and striving to achieve new business opportunity success:

1. Maintain a Positive Attitude and Believe in yourself and your ability.
2. When times are tough and you feel tired and Demotivated, Persevere.Success will be Yours. Strive for Personal and Financial Freedom.
3. Confidence: Constantly affirm "you". The primary key to confidence likes "you". Practice STP - Self Talk Promotion and Positivity. Its ok, talk to yourself.Positively Affirm "you" everyday.
4. Work Schedule: Set your program and be consistent with this on a daily basis. Limit your distractions in order for you to complete the tasks.
5. Goals: Set reasonable goals to achieve. Don't aim to high, it will become overwhelming. Break your goals down in small manageable sections and you will achieve them one step at a time.
6.Associate with Positive and like minded people who as members of you team and Business Patterns and Associations will be there to Guide, Help, Motivate and offer Leadership to you to be successful. By helping you succeed, they are helping themselves to succeed.
7. Dreams: Don't ever stop dreaming. Your dreams and ambitions keep you alive. Don't let negative thoughts impair your future progress.
8. Personal Development: Educate yourself. Read at least two books a month on the subject. You will find it broadens your mind and perspective and it keeps you focused.
9. Follow what successful people do: Copy them and this will lead to your success as well. Don't try and reinvent the wheel. It's a waste of time.
10. Branding: Market and promote yourself. This is one of the most important strategies to implement.
11. Optimism.Always be Realistic and see what can be. Have a constant upbeat demeanor. People want to associate with Positive and Optimistic people. Stay away from the ones that rob you of your Enthusiasm and Optimism and the naysayers. They are the tyre kickers.
12. Responsibility: Think Results, not Reasons. You are now the Business Owner and all the responsibility lies with you. This can be very Liberating at first but also Daunting in the beginning fazes of your business startup.
13. Sacrifice: Seek wealth, Not Riches. To reach the top, you need to make some sacrifices. Make sure you choose the right ones. You can't expect to place a few adds, work for 4 hours of the day and try and promote you business online in an half hearted manner and expect orders and the money to roll in. It takes consistent hard work to succeed.Day in and Day out.
14. Initiative: Favour Action over Endless Contemplation. Don't Procrastinate.It is a silent killer for your business and yourself.
15. Family, Health: Place them first and foremost. Protect and provide for your family and look after your health.If you don't have your health nor your family and support structures,you actually don't have nothing!No matter how much of monetary wealth you have accumulated over the years,this will bring you no happiness and fulfillment if this structure of education,respect and giving is not part of your daily living strategy.
