I'll admit it, I have a bias against most of the well known 'gurus' in the Internet Marketing space.

I'm not even sure it's fair, but I just get the general impression that most of these guys are focused on what will make *them* the most cash in the fastest way, and not on what will help their audience the most.

Hey, I've got nothing against making money and making it fast, but when I buy from someone, I like to think that they know a little bit about me and what *I* want.

There are exceptions, though... plenty of them. There are many smart people out there who are completely focused on the needs of their audience -- your needs.

I like it when people want to know about me and my business before they start pitching products to me.

That's why I was more than happy to complete a survey that I took recently. I mean, I can hardly complain about people not asking my opinion if I also ignore them when they do right?

The *right* thing to do in abusiveness is to get to know your audience really well then focus on the things that they want -- this way *everyone* wins.
