There are several schools of thought on how frequently you should post updates on your blog:

- Some say daily
- Some say multiple times a day
- Some say a few times a week
- Some say a few times a month

Question #1: How often do you post to your blog?

Question #2: How often SHOULD a marketer post to their blog?

I suppose the other thing to consider is if your blog is your primary marketing site, or if it is simply a page on your main website.

1) The frequency that I post to my blog depends on other scheduling factors. There are months where I have other projects on the go and I might only post to my blog once a week. Then there are months when I have more time and I try to post every other day.

2) I think a marketer should post to their blog daily. People want fresh content and if your visitors get to know that you update regularly, they will be more likely to visit.

I like your discussion GT. As you said, I to think that a blog a day would suffice. When you're busy with other things, it is hard to keep up with the blogging! I try to write a blog everyday or every 2-3 to keep it fresh, but as you said people like fresh and if we want to keep them coming back, we must deliver! Great job!

Thanks for adding to the discussion, Terry! You are so right about it being difficult to keep up with blogging. I don't know how people with multiple blogs do it.

I suppose some of them outsource their writing needs, and some have automated systems that post info to a variety of sources quickly and easily. My problem is I am "hands-on" and don't always trust automation! lol

I don't know how long I'll be able to keep at it, but I have been publishing a new blog post on my website every other day for the past few months; plus I have been posting to my blog in the Warrior Forum approximately every other day (alternating days).

I have an offline writing client project I need to focus on this week, but we'll see if I can keep blogging as well. I still say an Internet Marketer should post to their blog every day. And that is my eventual goal.

I try to post daily on my blog. I'm learning that if I have a theme, such as once a week spotlight a video from my youtube subscribers, that helps. Then I'll link to certain whitepapers, how-to's another day of the week. So that leaves 5 more days I have to come up with content. Usually, my content ideas derive from my learning/teaching myself social-email marketing. I write about the pitfalls, the successess. I'm sort of my own internet marketing test dummy.

I'm actually JUST now getting back into blogging like I need to be and will be updating it on my facebook wall and a few other places more often as well. I think it's great to blog "often" because you can build up a following that will start to Tune in just to see what else you've put up.

I go back to the every day post, to keep it active; with that being said, I remember there being an automation in blogspot to where you can schedule posts to come out, meaning that you could take time out to write three-four small to medium posts in one sitting, then spread them out to be published over time.

You can also place apps on your blog to post your real-time FaceBook and Twitter Posts, you can use those to bring activity to the blog as well as backlinks.

Hey Kenya!!! How have you been?? Long time no talk to -- Great information there too; I love the flexibility of blogs; all the 'themes' and 'plug ins' that can be added to help improve what people do with them.

The idea of scheduled posts/blogs is a good one for people who don't have the time to do it daily; Even if we miss a day, I think as long as we're 'consistent' over a period of time, that's what truly matters. Blogs are a great way to connect to an audience that wants to work with you.
