Well I have to say that I have several quotes but my favorite is ............It's not what happens that really matters but how you handle it will make all the difference

I love inspirational quotes. My favorite one is:
"As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he"

I have experienced that I am what I think about because what I think commands my consciousness, directs my behavior and attracts life experiences that are compatible to those thoughts. So the first step to changing my life for the better is to change my mind. Then the life experiences that are drawn to me will change also.

No quote today. Cara got me thinking about a time early on when I was still teaching my brain to accept that I had to collect the walking stick every time I got up.

I had forgotten it this day and was on my way to volunteer work in a local computer shop. Right outside the house a thin lady was trying to push a big old station wagon to the petrol station around the corner.

Without thought I got behind that car and helped her get where she needed to go. Once she filled the car she offered to take me wherever I was heading before I helped.

At that moment I laughed and told her I had to go home and collect my stick. She was astonished at what I had done.

Why did I help? Because a car load of blokes laughed and jeered as they drove passed and never bothered to stop and help her. Made me very mad!

Yes, changing how we think can have a dramatic impact on our lives. That was over 9 years ago and I still "forget" the stick sometimes on waking in the morning.

My primary goal has always been to help others and I guess it really showed that day.
