Hello, everyone: To my knowledge, Bobby McFerrin (Don't Worry, Be Happy) is still happily performing (unless something happened to him just recently).

Hey, Dee, thanks for the link to that David Bowie tune. That is from the movie soundtrack, Labyrinth (1986), starring Bowie and Jennifer Connelly (when she was a teenager).

I first saw Connelly in the 1984 movie, Once Upon a Time in America (starring Robert DeNiro and James Woods), and knew she would become a popular actor.

Labyrinth was entertaining, but it's not my favourite movie. And while the music from Labyrinth (all Bowie tunes I believe) was all commercially fine, none of it is amongst my favourite Bowie tunes. He had some really great stuff through the '80s and '90s.

GT :-)

Well, the 80s want to be remembered, the proof is "Don't you forget about me", can't remember the group, though

Hi, Philippe: Since that song became popular, others have covered it, like Billy Idol, but the original band to do it was Simple Minds. I liked their style.

Hello GT,

I have never heard the other versions, the original from Simple Minds is very good.

Thanks for reminding me of the group's name. I could have googled it, but I was tired when I posted it. :)
